Pastor Harlan Nakasone
Born and raised in Hawaii, Harlan grew up in Kaneohe and graduated from Castle High School. He attended International College and Graduate School and received his Masters of Divinity in 2004. Harlan felt a call to be a Pastor during his years at seminary. At the seminary, he could not cover the cost of tuition. Harlan started praying and asking the Lord, “if you want me to be a Pastor, please provide the tuition I need to complete my diploma.” Two weeks later, a Pastor from Mililani hired Harlan as Youth Pastor and Worship Leader. The church agreed to cover the entire cost of the tuition. From that time till today, Harlan knows that God has called him to be a Pastor. Harlan is married to Dana Nakasone for 31 years. They adopted two boys - RJ (16) and Elijah (14).
