International Ministry
International Student Lunch
Each Thursday the International students gather for lunch at the Baptist Centre. If you have ever thought of traveling the world but are hampered by funds this is an opportunity to meet international students while staying on island.
Students like the fellowship and conversation. This is a great way for them to practice their English and meet new people. The center feeds about 150-200 each week. Local churches cook and serve the meals.
If your church or organization would like to be added to the rotation for cooking please contact Joy Turner at 955-6180.
The students will reach across the globe with your gift. Matthew 25:40 "And the King will answer them, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did it to the one of the least of these my brethern, you did it to me.' We are reaching across the globe with the testimony of Christ love. Think of what these students tell others about the Christians they met.
We think that missions are something we go and do but they happen every day in every place we are. This is a great opportunity to serve lunch and be a missionary right here without spending money or taking weeks to accomplish.
This is our Judea as well as the ends of the Earth. Can we honestly tell Christ no that we won't provide food or tell others of His love?
Tuesdays begin with English classes which continue to be
very full, primarily made up of young Japanese mothers
from the community. Our teachers and volunteers work
hard to teach and also care for their children. Pray that
these ladies will recognize and understand the love of Jesus
that Christians are sharing with them.
